P N N M Ayurveda Medical College was established in 2007–2008 by the Poomulli Neelakandan Namboodiripad Memorial Bharatheeya Sasthra Vidya Peetam Trust and is promoted by the Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam. The principal objective of the Trust is to provide quality education in Ayurveda while revitalizing the many Bharatheeya Sastras. The Trust has a pan-Indian as well as international following.
College Overview
P N N M Ayurveda Medical College and Hospital is a self-financing institution affiliated with the Kerala University of Health Sciences, Thrissur. The college is recognized by the National Commission for Indian System of Medicine (NCISM), Government of India, under the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Department of Ayush.
Despite being located just off the road to Thrissur, the campus offers a serene and peaceful environment — ideal for studying the ancient science of Ayurveda. The world’s first and world-renowned Ayurveda center, the Keraleeya Ayurveda Samajam, Shornur, serves as the Medical College Hospital.
The college offers BAMS (Bachelor of Ayurveda Medicine and Surgery), also known as Ayurvedacharya. The institution provides excellent facilities for aspiring Ayurvedic physicians and is supported by a team of dedicated and proficient faculty. In addition to the prescribed Ayurveda curriculum, students gain knowledge in ancient sciences such as Jyothisham, Vasthu, and Tantra through lectures delivered by eminent scholars. Visiting practitioners of modern medicine also contribute to the learning experience through guest sessions.
