Our GMP-certified manufacturing unit, situated in Kulakkad, produces a diverse range of over 300 ayurvedic medicines. Additionally, we prepare proprietary medicines based on formulations guided by Vaidya Ravi. In-house manufacturing has been an integral part of our hospital since its establishment in 1989, with Vaidya Ravi personally crafting every required medicine on-campus before the inception of our dedicated manufacturing unit.

As Vaidya Ravi’s treatments gained popularity and the quality of medicines improved, we established a specialized medicine manufacturing wing under his meticulous guidance. In 2007, we set up a fully functional modern factory to meet the growing demand and maintain the stringent quality standards mandated by our GMP certification.

Raw Material Collection

The crucial first step in medicine manufacturing is the collection of pure raw ingredients. We source many materials, such as Bala and Sunthi, from local contacts who cultivate these herbs in their farms and homes. For other medicinal materials, we rely on trusted traders with whom we have established relationships spanning over 30 years. Our Quality Control Team thoroughly inspects the purchased raw materials, approving only those that meet our standards, while any rejected lots are responsibly discarded into a compost pit. Seasonal raw materials are collected and stored within our facility.

Medicine Preparation

In our modern facility, medicines are prepared under strict supervision. Our production operates 24×7 during a 15-day period each month, deliberately running at 50% efficiency to prioritize the utmost quality over quantity. We have upgraded from the old firewood stove system to a more efficient boiler mechanism. To maintain a consistent and standardized level of excellence, our Quality Control Team meticulously checks every finished product.

Outlets

The medicines we manufacture primarily serve our in-house patients through our on-campus outlet. To enhance accessibility, we have recently opened a new branch in the nearby town of Cherpulassery, providing easy access for over-the-counter purchases and refills.
