Skin diseases are a major health problem affecting a high proportion of the population all over the world. It can place a heavy emotional and psychological burden on patients that may be far worse than the physical impact. Skin disorders vary greatly in symptoms and severity. They can be temporary or permanent and may be painless or painful. Some have situational causes, while others may be genetic. Some skin conditions are minor, and others can be life-threatening.

 Common causes of skin disorders include: 

  • Bacteria trapped in skin pores and hair follicles, 
  • Fungus, 
  • Parasites or microorganisms living on the skin, 
  • Viruses, 
  • Weak immune system, 
  • Contact with allergens, irritants, or another person’s infected skin etc. 

Eczema, psoriasis, acne, ichthyosis, vitiligo, and Seborrhoeic dermatitis are some examples of the types of skin diseases. Various factors can lead to the development of skin diseases such as emotional stress, allergies, unhealthy diet and lifestyle, over-exposure to hot conditions, mental stress etc.

 According to Ayurveda, imbalances in bodily energies and aggravation of Vata, Pitta and Kapha doshas can cause skin disease. Through Ayurveda treatment understand the stress and mental fatigue of the affected individuals and provide necessary treatment methods to resolve the issue.
