Departments

Department of Kayachikitsa / General Medicine

Ayurveda approaches the human body comprehensively. All Ayurvedic therapy approaches revolve around safeguarding and preserving the digestive fire or Jatharagni. In turn, this ensures the best possible functioning of the body’s numerous metabolic agencies, which are crucial to the individual’s health and well-being.

Diabetes, hypertension, hyperlipidemia, thyroid problems, and other lifestyle disorders, as well as gastrointestinal tract illnesses such as Crohn’s disease, demand special attention in this regard. They frequently arrive in our OP after reaching chronicity and are professionally treated by our Kayachikitsa department, which is led by Dr. D Ramanathan, Dr. J Mannachan, and Dr. V S P. Other conditions that fall under the ambit of this speciality include:

  • Recurrent fungal infections, dandruff, eczema, psoriasis, and urticaria are examples of skin diseases.
  • Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, gouty arthritis, and rheumatic fever are examples of arthritic disorders.
  • Pathologies of the nervous system, such as motor neuron diseases, paraplegia, Alzheimer’s disease, and Parkinsonism.
  • Cervical and Lumbar Spondylosis, Spondylitis, General malaise and debility, acute infections, and age-related wear and tear are all examples of spine diseases.
  • Infertility in men and general rejuvenation.

Department of Prasootitantra and Streeroga/ Gynaecology & Obstetrics

A lady who has given birth is referred to as a ‘Prasuta’ in Sanskrit. Maternal and child healthcare is critical for human community well-being, and Ayurveda lays a particular focus on women’s reproductive health. Prasooti Tantra goes a step further by promoting active treatment of each stage of pregnancy using food and lifestyle changes, as well as complementary herbal therapies, in order to maintain optimal health for both the expectant woman and her kids. Ayurveda is also committed in the subject of Eugenics, which seeks to secure the greatest possible health and qualities for future generations.

Under the direction of Dr. Bhagavathy Ammal, our facility has become a haven for couples dealing with infertility and birthing difficulties. Polycystic ovarian disease is one such prevalent disorder, a syndrome that impairs the physical, emotional, and social well-being of many young women in our state of reproductive age. This lifestyle disorder is frequently associated with sedentary living, mental stress, and poor eating habits, and it can lead to a variety of metabolic problems such as diabetes, obesity, and thyroid dysfunction as women age. We have a successful track record of treating patients with this disease at our facility, and many of our pleased patients can speak to our knowledge in this field. We specialize in addressing a variety of issues associated with pregnancy and delivery, such as:

Department of Physiotherapy

Our hospital operates a physiotherapy unit that is well-equipped. Medication is hardly enough to treat musculoskeletal diseases. Joint manipulation that is controlled and methodical puts the patient far farther along the road to full healing. Dr. Sanil Raj (MPT) and Mr. Karthik (BPT), two of our skilled physiotherapists, successfully treat a variety of disorders including sprains, back pain, arthritis, strains, incontinence, bursitis, posture issues, sports and occupational injuries, as well as restricted mobility. This classification also includes post-operative rehabilitation.

Department of Therapeutic Yoga

Yoga, which means “union” in Sanskrit, aims to create harmony in the body, mind, and spirit. Yoga may help us connect with our inner selves and enhance our general health when practiced properly. Originally created in ancient India as a way of life to achieve moksha (heaven), it has since transformed into a healthy kind of exercise for the body and mind.

We mix Therapeutic Yoga with Ayurvedic medicine to solve health issues. The practice of Asanas, Pranayama, and Meditation, which have helped our patients regain their quality of life despite the predominance of lifestyle-related disorders, is advised by Mr. Sandeep, our in-house yoga therapist.

TREATMENTS

  1. PCOS & Infertility

Having children after marriage and having a smooth pregnancy that resulted in a healthy baby were once expected results. It’s a challenging accomplishment today, though. Young women who develop PCOS, a metabolic illness that damages the ovaries and renders them unfit for conception, are affected throughout the puberty period. Many couples have turned to Ayurveda for help establishing conception since they were unsatisfied with conventional medical therapies.

2. Open-angle Glaucoma & Diabetic Retinopathy

Prior to modern times, having a smooth pregnancy and giving birth to a healthy kid was thought to be a given after marriage. Today, however, both accomplishments are challenging. Young women with PCOS, a metabolic illness, might develop hostile and ill wombs throughout the early puberty period. Many couples have turned to Ayurveda for assistance in getting pregnant after being dissatisfied with traditional medical therapies.

3. Inflammatory Arthritis

Most diseases are caused by inflammatory changes in the body. Ayurveda may successfully stop the advancement of inflammatory pathology, restore lymphatic drainage, and give long-term treatment for a variety of illnesses, ranging from degenerative arthritis to severe autoimmune disorders.

4. Chronic Allergies & Skin conditions

“You are what you eat,” according to the Ayurvedic medical system. Faulty eating habits, excessive mental tension, and regular ingestion of unwholesome food result in deeply entrenched toxicity, which ends in persistent allergies and skin diseases. Panchakarma methods, in conjunction with internal medicine, cleanse and purge the body of various morbidities.
