Dr Nandini Varma is an alumus of Vaidyaratnam Ayurveda College, Ollur. After completing her degree, she presented various papers on subjects such as Rheumatoid Vasculitis and Orthopaedic Rehabilitation. She is an ardent reader and a quick learner. It is no surprise that she developed an interest in specific areas of Ayurvedic treatments.

She has assisted Dr. T. Sreekumar in the translation of various Ayurveda texts to English. Each day is a new day for her and she applies all her learnings and knowledge in treating and curing her patients. She is also capable of building a quick rapport with people who are in contact with her, and her patients trust her and immensely benefit from her treatments. She is also a percussionist and professionally performs the traditional percussion of Kerala, Chenda. Her husband, Kalamandalam Harish is a faculty of Kathakali Chenda, Department of Kathakali at Kerala  Kalamandalam, Cheruthuruthi, Thrissur. Together they have set their record in The Limca Book of Records in 2015 as the first couple to perform Thayambaka.
