Sitaram Anglo Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd, blessed by HH Kochi Maharaja Rama Varma Kunjikkidavu Thampuran and Shri. Parukutty Nethyar Amma, embarked on its journey of healing and nurturing people through Ayurveda and delivering quality healthcare services on May 19, 1921.

Inspired by the Punkunnam Sitaramaswamy Temple, from which our company derives its name, we realized that it holds profound significance. ‘Sita’ represents the Goddess of Harvest, symbolizing the furrow, while ‘Ram’ signifies the 7th Avatar of Lord Vishnu, representing rest, stillness, joy, and contentment. These concepts resonate with our vision of cultivating medicinal plants, transforming them into life-enhancing medicines, and spreading awareness about the benefits of Ayurveda for optimal health.

Initially established as the First Joint Stock company in the Madras Province under the name Sitaram Anglo Ayurveda Pharmacy in 1921, we later evolved into Sitaram Ayurveda Pharmacy Ltd. and subsequently became Sitaram Ayurveda Pvt. Ltd., honoring the values of our ancestors and embracing the path entrusted to us by the deities of the Punkunnam Sitaramaswamy Temple.

Our forefathers, M.A Parameswara Iyer and T.S Balarama Iyer, along with a group of promoters, laid the foundation of our Ayurvedic and Allopathic Pharmacy along with a small-scale manufacturing unit. In 1960, Sri. P Devaraj Iyer, the son of M.A Parameswara Iyer, assumed directorship, propelling Sitaram towards becoming a fully-fledged Ayurvedic Medicine Manufacturing company. Today, we proudly operate pharmacies and an Ayurvedic Hospital in Thrissur, Kerala, India, continuing our legacy of providing authentic Ayurvedic treatments and medicines.
