Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College Hospital (NAMCH) is a multi-speciality NABH accredited Ayurveda hospital, established in 2006 under Nangelil Charitable Trust, with a legendary ancestral tradition of Ayurveda. NAMCH come up with an expert insight in ayurvedic healthcare services with highest standards to ensure premium care in affordable rates. NAMCH is a 60 bedded hospital situated on Elampra road at Nellikuzhi, Kothamangalam (in a walkable distance of 300mtrs from Nangelipady Bus stop on Perumbavoor-Kothamangalam road).

The College is fully owned and managed by the Nangelil Charitable Trust. The trust is registered with Reg. No. SR/P/3-2001. Trust grew into a Public Charitable Trust by during 2001. Presently, Mr. M E Sasi is the President of the Trust. Dr.Vijayan Nangelil, Managing Director of the College, is the General Secretary of the Trust. The Trust has a sound financial background for the conduct of the College. Apart from other Charitable activities, the major activity of the Trust is the conduct of the Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College.

The Nangelil Ayurveda Medical College Hospital offers a range of Ayurvedic treatments and therapies to promote overall harmony and wellbeing of the body, mind, and spirit. Some of the treatments include:

• Abhyangam: This Ayurvedic medicated oil massage therapy provides relief from joint pains and muscle stiffness, and is also effective in treating musculoskeletal and neurological disorders.
• Udwarthanam: This therapy involves the use of fried herbal leaves for a massage called Pinda Sweda, which helps with arthritis, back pain, sports injuries, and soft tissue inflammations.
• Rakthamoksha: This blood purification therapy involves removing small quantities of blood to neutralize accumulated toxins of blood-borne diseases, and is effective in treating various diseases such as arthritis, skin disorders, allergies, and inflammations.
• Elakizhi: This Ayurvedic fomentation therapy uses a bundle of fried herbal leaves dipped in warm medicated oil for a massage, which helps to relieve joint pains, muscle stiffness, back pain, and sports injuries.
• Njavarakizhi: This nourishing Ayurvedic therapy involves massaging the body with a bundle of medicated rice dipped in warm decoctions and milk, which helps to treat neurological disorders, rheumatism, arthritis, and malnutrition of limbs.
• Sirodhara: This therapy involves the application of a continuous stream of medicated lukewarm oil over the forehead for a period of 45 minutes, which is highly stress relieving and reduces mental tensions.
• Thakradhara: This therapy involves the pouring of medicated buttermilk over the forehead, which has cooling properties and helps to calm the body and mind.
• Netra Tharpanam: This eye-cleansing process gives a cooling effect to the eyes and is used to treat various problems related to the eyes such as strain, irritation, pain, etc.
• Pizhichil: This therapy involves the application of a continuous stream of lukewarm medicated oil over the body followed by a mild body massage, which is useful for treating Rheumatic diseases such as arthritis, paralysis, hemiplegia, sexual weakness, nervous weakness, and nervous disorders.
• Thalapothichil: This special procedure involves the application of medicated paste on the head after a mild head massage, which is mainly used to relieve stress, hypertension, migraine, sinusitis, headache, insomnia & sleep disorders.
• Nasyam: This procedure involves the instillation of medicated drops through nostrils preceded by mild face massage and steam, which cleanses sinus and nasal cavity and strengthens sensory organs & immune system.
• Kativasthi: This special type of low back therapy involves keeping warm medicated oil over the lumbar region within a circular ridge made of black gram paste, which is used to treat chronic back pain, degenerative spine changes, compressed disc and spinal nerves.

In addition to these treatments, the hospital also offers other therapies such as Agni Karma, Kshara Karma, Jaluka Avacharana, and Bandaging.
