A new Hospital Unit was opened in 2008 at Trikkakara, Kochi which is the commercial capital of Kerala and is well connected to all major cities of the country, to cater to the longstanding needs of patients from across India and abroad.

The Ayurveda Hospital of Arya Vaidya Sala started at Kottakkal in 1954 expanded in size and reach during its very fruitful existence in the past seven decades to accommodate patients from far and near. Soon, the facilities at Kottakkal were found insufficient to meet the growing demand with long waiting period for admitted treatments, prompting the Management to open its Hospital in other parts of the country.

In 2000, a new Hospital was opened in Delhi to cater to the demands of patients from northern and north eastern parts of India. The demands of patients from other parts of the country and abroad who sought AVS therapy for their ailments kept on increasing. It was in this situation that a new 43 bedded Hospital was opened in 2008 at Thrikkakara, Kochi, the commercial capital of Kerala, which is well connected to all major cities of the country and foreign countries.

The Hospital under the clinical and administrative supervision of a Medical Superintendent & CMO is equipped with traditional treatment facilities and supported by a dedicated experienced and qualified team of ayurvedic physicians, managerial staff, other support staff, therapists and paramedical staff.

The Hospital has the following features :

• 39 A/c rooms [43 beds] comprising 2 general wards [non A/c only], 2 Non A/c Rooms, single rooms, double rooms and suite rooms.
• Offers classical Ayurvedic treatments including Panchakarma and Kerala Special Treatments such as Dhara, Pizhichil, Navarakizhi, Sirovasthi etc.
• Special OP consultation for Marmaroga, Piles-Fissure & Fistula and Manasamitram [Anxiety and Stress] on every 1st & 3rd Thursdays. Spl. OP for Psoriasis & Gynaecology, on every 2nd & 4th Thursdays with expert Physicians from Kottakkal
• Free OP consultation on all days of the week including public holidays from 09.00 am to 06.00 pm with a break between 01.00 pm and 02.00 pm.
• All rooms with TV connections, Net connectivity and direct Dial Facilities.
• Yoga and Physiotherapy sessions as per Doctors’ advice.
• Appropriate back up arrangements to deal with clinical emergencies.
• Library and Canteen on premises.
• Medicines are dispensed at the Dispensary attached to the Hospital from 07.30 am to 06.00 pm on all days without break, [Sundays & holidays till 05.00 pm].
