AYURVEDA AND YOGA-BASED SYSTEMS
Our system operates according to the authentic and traditional principles of Ayurveda and yoga. Adopting a daily routine, or ‘dincharya,’ based on Ayurveda and yoga helps improve your mental health. All our services are centered on an understanding of each patient’s unique inherent nature.
ORGANIC AND DOSHIC DIET
The provided food is organic and adheres to a doshic diet that is carefully curated to provide you with the best possible nourishment. We believe that what you put into your body is just as important as how you treat it, which is why we only use the highest quality ingredients. In addition to being healthy, our food also contains prana, or life-force energy, which can help boost your energy levels and improve your overall well-being.
LOCAL HERB SOURCING
To prepare Ayurvedic medicines, we use herbs that are available locally. This ensures that our herbs are fresh and potent. The best herbs for our medicines are the ones that have been grown without the use of harmful pesticides or chemicals, so we choose them with care.
ECOLOGICAL HEALING
Healing is a holistic process that involves not just the body but also the mind and spirit. That’s why we utilise our blessed environment, which supports physical, pranic, and mental healing processes. YOGA
YOGA THERAPY
At the Shatavari Ayurveda Holistic Research Centre and Hospital, a combination of Ashtanga Marga practices is used to detoxify and harmonize the physical, pranic, and mental bodies. These practices include Samskarana, Samudhapana, Samaharana, Samarohana, Samprajarana, Samsidhi, and Samaswadanam. Through guided yoga sessions based on fundamental principles, spiritual awakening is achieved, and correct postures help develop awareness and focus on life’s purpose. Patients with chronic psycho-somatic diseases benefit from principle-based yoga sessions as they energize their physical, mental, and pranic dimensions, making them receptive to Ayurveda treatments. More profound practices help individuals connect with themselves, establishing health connections with familial, social, and universal dimensions.
PRANAYAMA: THE YOGA BREATHING TECHNIQUE
Pranayama, also known as yoga breathing, is the study of Prana, the essential energy that sustains all life in the universe. It involves a series of breathing exercises that serve to maintain physical wellness and meet the body’s needs. Additionally, Pranayama is utilized to calm and quiet the mind, as Prana and thoughts are interconnected. According to Yogis, breath control is essential in regulating our emotions, and breathing techniques can balance the body, mind, and consciousness.
MEDITATION
Meditation is an art that requires one to focus the mind, tame the thoughts, and delve deep into oneself. Through consistent practice, it is possible better to understand one’s purpose in life and the universe while also enjoying a wide range of physical and mental health benefits. So, let’s explore how meditation works.
YOGA NIDRA
Yoga Nidra is a relaxation technique that is part of Yoga. It involves a systematic approach to inducing complete relaxation in the body, mind, and emotions while remaining consciously aware. Practising Yoga Nidra frequently can help energize the pranic body, including the Nadis and Chakras, which can, in turn, energize the mental and physical bodies. Regular treatments through Yoga Nidra can help heal the physical, pranic, and cognitive dimensions by utilizing the energy received.
SURYA NAMASKAR
Surya Namaskar is a yoga practice involving facing the sun, a vital energy source. It is typically performed in the morning and evening. Regularly practising sun salutations promotes good health and protects against diseases. This exercise is beneficial for the joints and muscles throughout the body.
SHATKARMA
Hatha yoga is a precise and organized science that originated from the early yoga Upanishads. It comprises Shatkarmas, in which ‘Shat’ means ‘Six’ and ‘Karma’ means ‘Actions,’ and involves six groups of purification practices to achieve physical and mental balance by harmonizing the two significant pranic flows, Ida and Pingala.
