Overview
Parkinson’s disease is a progressive neurodegenerative disorder characterized by both sensory and motor impairments. Common features include resting tremors, rigidity, gait disturbances, postural instability, speech difficulties, and behavioral changes.
Due to its chronic and progressive nature, Parkinson’s disease often leads to significant disability, placing a substantial socioeconomic burden on patients, caregivers, and healthcare systems.
