Dr. Renjith Kumar is a distinguished clinician, accomplished academician, and highly respected anaesthesiologist based in Kozhikode. Currently, Dr. Renjith serves as a Senior Consultant at Sakalya Ayurveda Nephro-Urology Clinic and as Chief Anaesthesiologist and Theatre-in-Charge (Urology) at MIART Metromed Institute of Advanced Urology and Renal Transplant. He is also a full-time faculty member in the Department of Anaesthesiology at MIART, where he plays a pivotal role in academic training, clinical excellence, and surgical leadership. An alumnus of the prestigious VPSV Ayurveda College, Dr. Renjith began his medical journey with a BAMS degree, grounding himself in classical Ayurvedic science. Driven by his passion for integrated healthcare, he pursued MBBS from Government Medical College, Kozhikode and later completed his MD in Anaesthesiology from Mysore Medical College and Research Institute. This dual qualification enables him to bridge traditional and modern systems of medicine with exceptional competence.

Dr. Renjith commenced his professional career as a Lecturer in the Department of Anaesthesiology at Government Medical College, Kozhikode, where he earned recognition as an inspiring teacher known for his clarity, communication skills, and strong academic foundation. His transition into advanced clinical practice saw him serving as Theatre-in-Charge at the Cooperative Hospital, Vatakara, where he refined his surgical and anaesthetic management skills across multiple specialties.

He later expanded his clinical footprint as Consultant Anaesthesiologist at Elite Mission Hospital and subsequently as Senior Consultant and Urology Theatre-in-Charge at MIOT International Hospital. His tenure at MIOT further strengthened his expertise in high-risk surgeries, complex urological procedures, and transplant anaesthesia.

Dr. Renjith’s international exposure includes serving as Senior Consultant and Theatre-in-Charge at MIOT Pacific Hospital, where he contributed significantly to advanced surgical and perioperative care in an international healthcare setting. This global experience enriched his clinical acumen and broadened his perspective on patient safety protocols and multidisciplinary surgical management.

With extensive experience in administering all forms of anaesthesia—including general, regional, spinal, epidural, and advanced nerve blocks—Dr. Renjith is especially recognized for his expertise in renal transplant anaesthesia and perioperative critical care.
