Dr. Gouri Shanker Prasad T is a highly experienced Ayurvedic physician and healthcare leader with over 13 years of expertise in clinical practice, medical education, and advanced rehabilitation care. He currently serves as the Managing Director and Head of the Department of Medicine at Irine Healthcity, a multidisciplinary center specializing in advanced neuro-ortho rehabilitation and holistic healthcare.
With a strong foundation in Ayurvedic medicine and modern rehabilitation approaches, Dr. Gouri Shanker Prasad specializes in neurology, pediatric neurology, psychiatry, sexual medicine, infertility care, and post-stroke rehabilitation. His patient-centered approach combines traditional Ayurvedic wisdom with evidence-based rehabilitation techniques to deliver comprehensive and compassionate care.
At Irine Healthcity, he leads specialized departments focused on neurological rehabilitation, pediatric neurological disorders, mental health, palliative oncology, and integrative wellness programs. He is widely recognized for his expertise in managing chronic neurological disorders and designing holistic recovery programs for stroke survivors.
Dr. Gouri Shanker Prasad also has a distinguished academic background. He served as Assistant Professor in the Department of Kayachikitsa and Neurology Consultant at VPSV Ayurveda College and AVS Kottakkal, where he mentored undergraduate and postgraduate students while continuing advanced neurological consultations.
Earlier, he worked with the Government of Kerala’s renowned Punarnava Project at the District Ayurveda Hospital, Kozhikode, focusing on Ayurvedic post-stroke rehabilitation and recovery care.
